Not.

The NYT is reporting on their website that New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has told some of his most senior advisers and officials that he is linked to a prostitution ring.  Spitzer was suppose to go on and give a statement at around 11:15 PST but hasn’t showed up as of yet.

What strikes hypocrisy into this whole situation is that Spitzer as the former Attorney General in New York, he prosecuted prostitution rings with what some would call a vengeance.  Many of the talking heads on CNN have called him, in essence, Mr. Clean.

Being a west coaster I can’t say that I’m completely stunned.  It’s rather expected.  I mean the LA Mayor had extra-marital affairs as of recently, and was actually booed when he spoke before a soccer game’s audience.
