Because we finance it.  With every gallon of gas I buy I’d like to think I have a share in the Saudi’s latest attempt at the worlds tallest building.

If you know nothing of Dubai’s opulent modern day architecture, which no terrorist in the Muslim world ever sees fit to bomb for some reason, you should know that when those Muslims really put their minds to something they really go out and do it (I guess you could take terrorism as one example, and the Burj Dubai comes in at a close second).  Therefore it came, at no surprise, that I was completely dumbfounded, jaw-dropping, flabbergasted, when I read the London’s Daily Mail article [linked above] talking about the Saudi Prince Bin-A-Whogivesadamn pledging to construct a 5 billion dollar, 5 thousand 2 hundred and fifty foot tower in some city he’s also going to make up all near the Red Sea Coastal town of Jeddah.

What caused my mouth to drop and flys to take up permanent residence in my slightly aft recessed molar is that not only are the engineering feats so outstanding for a mile-high skyscraper, but the fact that, like their Arab brethern in Qatar, I don’t doubt for a minute that these oil-laden Saudi’s will go full force in constructing this monstrosity of wealth. 

And to think, the Free Republic of these United States of America is being continuily one upped by these Kingdom Whoring Arabs, makes my heart sink.
